Showings of Classic Doctor Who, are a bit thin on the ground these days, which is odd; considering the popularity of the show.

Classic Doctor Who, has been missing from our screens – here in the UK, ever since; UK Gold stopped showing them.

BBC4 would sometimes show the odd episode, as a tribute. Such as An Unearthly Child, during the 50th Anniversary. Or The Hand Of Fear ; when actress Elizabeth Sladen sadly passed away – in 2011.

Netflix (UK) also pulled most of their classic collection and only show the nu-series only (which we don’t cover here).

Well, all that is about to change – as the Horror Channel (UK Sky channel 319) have just gained the coup of the year; by securing the rights; to show classic Who episodes.

They will begin broadcasting them – from Easter; showing episodes – from the classic years; 1963 to 1989.

As the First Doctor once remarked; “Some day I shall return….”. It seems somewhat apt.
