Old Doctor Who is sad to report the death of Terrence Dicks, who has passed away; at the age of 84.
Dicks was a published author, screenwriter, script editor and producer and long served contributor to Doctor Who.
His first association with the programme was as co-writer to Troughton serials; The Seeds Of Death and Wargames.
He then served as Head Script Writer through all of Jon Pertwee’s era (1970 to 1974). Before stepping back to becoming a regular script contributor throughout the Tom Baker era.
After this era, Dicks concentrated more on writing Doctor novels and became a regular contributor to the more recent BBC DVD releases.
